How is it treated?
Treatment is planned according to the type, size and location of the cyst. Most often the cyst is surgically removed (enucleation) and, where needed, the area is supported with a bone graft. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, or general anaesthesia in suitable cases. When required, the removed tissue is sent for pathological examination.
Is the procedure painful?
No. The procedure is carried out under anaesthesia and you will not feel pain. The process is managed comfortably, and any mild swelling afterwards is kept under control with the medication we recommend.
